Aircraft Maintenance
General aviation aircraft maintenance is the primary focus of
Estherville Aviation. We strive to treat each customer’s
aircraft the way we would want our own aircraft to be treated.
Paul, our main mechanic and Authorized Inspector, has been an A&P
since 1989 and an IA since 1992. All his experience is on
general aviation and primarily reciprocating engines. His
experience includes a lot of sheet metal work and maintenance on
various makes and models of aircraft including helicopters and
balloons.
Recently, Paul has begun to gain more experience on amateur built experimental aircraft realizing the ELSA and LSA aircraft are here to stay and becoming more popular. He has completed training on Rotax 912 series engines to become confident to perform maintenance properly.
We welcome owners to participate in the maintenance of their aircraft if they have the desire. We feel it is an excellent way for the owner to learn more about the aircraft he is trusting with his life. Please contact us about owner-assisted annuals.
Pre-buy inspections are occasionally needed in the life of a pilot and are highly recommended to help the prospective owner be better informed. These inspections usually consist of a thorough paperwork research and a moderate physical inspection of the aircraft. It can be as detailed as the owner feels is necessary.
Inspections and repairs are charged by time and material. Please
contact us if you have more questions.
